Lecture on "Shipping Policy in Japan and the Mission of the Shipping Industry for the Future" at World Maritime University

On September 27, I gave a lecture to the WMU students in Malmo, Sweden.
To tell the truth, this was the first time for me to visit Malmo and Sweden and I was surprised by the cool and comfortable weather in this Nordic country compared with the severe heat in my office located in Tokyo, Japan.
My lecture was focused on the history of the Japanese maritime policy and the future of it. The lecture and the following conversations with the students were pleasant and fruitful and I was impressed by their intelligence and bright eyes.
I hope they will keep up their human networking even after graduation and contribute to the world maritime society.
I really thank President Kjerfve, Professor Nakazawa and all staff members of WMU for all kinds of warmest arrangement for my visit to WMU.
